Morgan Vien

Leader, learner and designer, Morgan Vien currently serves as a Deeper Learning Coach for Envision Learning Partners; a School Retool Coach with IDEO; Design Facilitator with d.school @ Stanford; a partner and facilitator to the National Equity Project; and a partner with systems leaders working to define their vision, design their model, and take steps towards execution. She recently completed a seven-year Principalship of a preK-8 arts-integrated, expeditionary learning school called ASCEND, in Oakland, California. 

Morgan thrives at the intersection of equity and design forwarding the transformation of the schooling system. She believes that more equitable outcomes for all stakeholders are possible when we take a human-centered approach to the ways ‘we work,’ and when we design for complexity. By building strong teams and using design thinking, Morgan helps cultivate the conditions for sustainable innovation and change towards deeper learning.
