Meet Mike Strong, an educator of 16 years, based in San Diego, CA at the High Tech High School Network, and part of the design team that developed the School Retool Fellowship and Hacktivation Nation. Mike is a nationally recognized deeper learning coach now supporting Oregon teachers and school leaders to design equitable learning experiences for their students.
“In the future, I would like to see that equity work is education work and that there’s no difference between the two. I hope that the idea of educating the public is exactly the same idea as creating equitable experiences and outcomes for our society. To try to improve the system, you can’t just come alongside it. You need to specifically make attempts to redesign it.”
