3toPhD is a public-private partnership between Concordia University, Portland Public Schools, Faubion, and Trillium Family Services.

The project begins with the creation of a state of the art facility and intentionally house, side by side, the Concordia urban teacher preparation program and Faubion’s PreK-8th grade School..., fostering transformative teaching and learning that can be applied directly through Concordia’s College of Education to Portland’s entire PreK-8th grade school community, including parents, siblings, and neighbors.        

Construct Foundation supports 3toPhD with a multi-year program grant and Gina Condon serves on the Council of Trustees for the university. Upon completion of the capital project—scheduled for Fall 2017—Faubion School will be equipped with several flex spaces that can be used as maker-spaces and a STEAM lab for creative design.

Seed funding

Construct supports dynamic new education programs with early stage funding. We look for programs run by distinguished leaders who are approaching old problems with next solutions.
